No new feature this time. 1.0.24 takes care of the moments when a home screen simply has to hold up, without you ever having to think about it.
More reliable, every day
- Installing many apps at once no longer crashes Sola. On some entry-level phones, a rare crash could happen when many apps installed or updated at the same time, for example while setting up a new phone. With every install, Sola re-read all of your icons, and those reads piled up until the phone ran out of memory. Sola now does one read at a time, and groups together the requests that come in meanwhile.
- Uninstalled apps leave the drawer right away. When you removed many apps at once, some of them stayed in the app drawer until Sola restarted. The drawer now updates straight away.
- "Open" from the Play Store no longer starts a second Sola. After an update, the Play Store's "Open" button launched Sola like an ordinary app, and a second Sola showed up in your recent apps. It now simply takes you back to your home screen.
Free. Complete. Forever.
Version 1.0.23, released just before, put it in black and white: Sola is free and complete, and nothing in it is ever locked. Sola Pro stays optional: a one-time purchase that supports an independent developer. The Sola Pro reminder has become a simple thank-you note, shown at most once a week.
How to get it
